Christmas Breakfast + Dining Room Tour

Christmas Breakfast + Dining Room Tour

Welcome to the second post in my series of three Christmas tour posts! It’s the first time ever you’re seeing our full dining room on the blog, and it’s lonnng overdue. I’m excited to share our table all decked out thanks to Table Top in a Box - they made setting a festive table so easy and fun to do (hence their motto - “No fuss, just fancy!”). I’m also sharing a simple and jolly breakfast that’s both kid-friendly and freezable so you can make it in advance and relax on Christmas morning.

I’m not kidding when I say that Table Top in a Box made all my whimsical dreams come true for this table. The Noelle box is perfect for holiday dinners and Christmas brunch. They curate all of their boxes to look amazing with everything from basic white dishes to your grandma's China! The Noelle would also be adorable stacked on a buffet for easy serving.

How cute is this eggnog recipe tea towel?? It came in the box along with the 5 assorted bottle brush trees, roll of 50 cocktail napkins, 8 cloth napkins, 8 emerald green acrylic name tags with red ribbon, and Holiday Trivia Box Game Set.

They personalized the name cards for me (available for an additional fee), but you can also order them blank to use them over and over again by writing with a chalk or glass marker (but not a paint pen - FYI).

I set the table with my usual white plates and serveware (seriously the BEST dishes from Anthropologie here), my everyday table runner from Target, Santa mugs from Walmart, a fresh garland from Trader Joe’s, dried orange slices (easy DIY here) and a vintage Santa & his sleigh from my mom’s collection of goodies. I love that The Noelle box could work so well with a variety of Christmas styles from traditional to vintage to modern. Personally, I’m all about mixing styles, especially at Christmas, so this was really fun to play with!

Okay simplest “recipe” ever for these candy-coated waffle Christmas trees! I used this mix from Williams Sonoma for the chocolate waffles, and highly recommend it. Here’s a yummy recipe from my gal Ree for waffles if you gotta go all out. Truthfully, I went with Bisquick mix for the plain waffles, and they were perfect in a pinch!

All you need is a round Belgian waffle maker to make the tiers of the waffle trees. Make waffles as directed, let cool, and cut into quarters. (Pro tip: Freeze the waffles ahead of time for easier dipping in chocolate.) Melt white chocolate and milk chocolate chips for dipping, and let your kids help decorate (quickly!) with sprinkles and peppermint crumbles. Let the chocolate harden on wax paper, and freeze in ziploc baggies.

This little table top game is perfect for family gatherings! I love the look of it, of course, and the questions are just varied enough to keep your smartest loved ones on their toes.

Post 3 of 3 is coming first thing on Wednesday morning so keep your eyes peeled for our Christmas living room tour!

P.S. The red/white Fa La La print is live in my shop! I made it especially for this post, and love how cute it is on our dining room server with a traditional black frame. (Printed 8x10” but can print as large as 11x14”)
