J's Nursery

Putting together J’s room has been such a joy. He honestly won’t move in here until he’s a little older, but for brief naps and play time upstairs it made sense to get this room together. I chose everything in the space for a slightly more play-friendly vibe as a result.

Everything that’s linkable will be listed at the end of the post! I love the bear head on this wall - not long after Jackson was born I nicknamed him our “little bear.”

Jackson’s rocking chair is currently in our master bedroom with his sister’s old crib, and we have ample closet space for him so there wasn’t a need for a dresser either. As a result, I was left with a lot of space to fill, and it became a mutual little play space.

The vintage flags don’t have any significance other than I thought they were cool, bright graphic additions to the room. I love how the red cross flag fills an entire wall and breaks up the color blocked paint.

B plays with these soft blocks almost daily, but Jackson will also get to use them for Physical Therapy when he’s a little older (and for fun too of course.) They serve a lot of purposes! I’m obsessed with the print on this Toki mat that gives us a clean, comfortable place to play.

Jackson’s room has a unique layout to it. The sink and vanity from his bathroom are part of the main bedroom. I wanted to match his vanity decor to the rest of the room, and the little plastic crates are a fun way to gather all the soaps, lotions, diapers, etc. They can also be used to hold toys and craft supplies!

Hurray for a new crib that has zero bite marks on it (#littlebrotherlife). We practice safe sleep at our house and never let Jackson sleep with stuffed animals or throw pillows, FYI!
