Simple Mommy & Me Açaí Bowls
Summer mornings on the deck call for Açaí bowls! B and I both love fruit and smoothies. Her breakfasts usually consist of sliced fruit, so occasionally I'll take it a step further and make a smoothie for us to share. Açaí bowls are one of my favorites, and they're only a few steps more than a smoothie. I've listed out some ingredients to grab when you go to the store next, but even the simplest of combos (like we have here - thawed frozen blueberries, strawberries, banana, and granola) are amazing.
What You Need:
Frozen açaí smoothie packs (Whole Foods carries them)
1/4 cup vanilla almond milk
1 banana
What You May Want:
Sliced bananas
Sliced strawberries
Blueberries
Blackberries
Raspberries
Kiwi
Sliced pineapple
Sliced mango
Coconut shavings or chips
Granola
Pumpkin seeds
Chia seeds
Honey or agave syrup
How To:
Blend smoothie pack with 1/4 cup (or a splash more if needed) of vanilla almond milk and banana. (Sometimes I'll add frozen blueberries to fill the smoothie more if we're splitting it - the smoothie packs aren't cheap, so this is a little trick of mine!)
Pour into bowls, and add toppings as you like!
Warning: Your toddler will get this everywhere, and it's dark purple soooo... We ate outside and literally hosed off the highchair and child afterwards. The beauty of summertime!
