Home Decor Favorites
There’s just something about moving that lights my fire for decluttering, and makes me all energized for organizing new spaces. Maybe it’s also a little of that New Year, New Me spirit going around. For now, I’m focusing on getting our main spaces just right - living room, dining room, kitchen, & master bedroom. And I’m loving anything that combines timeless character, a little old world, and modern lines.
I’ve found that displaying a few larger books (8.5x11” is my go-to size) stacked makes for a clean, classic look. Joanna Gaines’s new book Homebody is so excellent to read and flip through, but you’ll also find it’s a beautiful fabric-covered hardback with gold foil printing when you take off the cover. Perfect for decorating with!
I love these vintage frosted glass vases because they’re old-world with clean, modern lines - basically the exact combo of aesthetics we’re going for in the new house.
I am loving this initial block in “S” from Anthropologie for our shelves.
Target has a ton of McGee & Co dupes out right now, and you can’t beat their prices. I snagged a few of their vases for our built-in’s (pretty with or without greens in them).
I’ve been looking high and low for some pretty glass beads and found these for a great price! Just ordered them in a deep blue, and I have a feeling I may go back for bone beads next…
These eucalyptus stems from McGee & Co are only a few dollars more than their counterparts at Target, and they’re also 11” longer.
I’m still on the hunt for pillows that work with our Chesterfield sofas, but in the meantime loving cozy throws over them for that Hygge feel. This one from West Elm is so cute.
Finally, I’m always looking for some cute baskets to store toys and blankets in, and World Market is my current favorite for baskets with great texture and quality for the price. I love this larger banana leaf basket for the living room!
Hope your week is going well - happy decorating, friends!
